It's Laundry Day

Challenge ~ WEEK 6 ~

Having clean clothing is very important because it is a part of our daily hygiene. We wear clothes to cover our bodies but when the clothing is dirty with toxic microorganisms, we must prevent disease through cleanliness and maintain good health to stay healthy.

HERE'S  YOUR  CHALLENCE

Food Storage Purchase:
Cans of Chicken Soup  
Water ( 1 Gallon per person per day)


Extra Item Purchase:

Laundry Detergent ~ Ingredients

 

1 Box of Borax

1 Box of Baking Soda

1 Box Super Washing Soda 

1 Box of Zote Soap Flakes or 2 bars of soap. (If you buy the bar of soap, you will have to grate the soap into flakes)

1 Bottle of Scent crystals

1 Oxyclean

1 Trash Bag  

1 ~ 3 or 5 Gallon Bucket

Small containers for each BOB (Bug Out Bag), Vehicle Kit, Pantry, or anywhere you feel you will need a small amount of laundry detergent.

Skill or Drill: 
Make Laundry Soap ~ (1 Year supply for a family of 4)
NOTE: If you are using a high efficiency washing machine, make sure the ingredients of the soap is acceptable.

Laundry Detergent
1 Box or 8 1/2 cups of Borax
2 cups - Baking Soda
1 Box Super Washing Soda 
1 Box Zote Soap Flakes or 2 bars of soap. (If you buy the bar of soap, you will have to grate the soap into flakes). 
1 Bottle of Scent crystals
1 Container or 2 cups of OxyClean
1 Kitchen trash bag

 

Instructions:
Put all ingredients in the trash bag to mix ingredients together.
Place in a bucket with lid for storage.
Add 1 Tablespoon of detergent to each wash.
